MIL-T-21451(NOrd)
3.6 Wiring. - All internal wiring shall be cabled wher-
ever possible.
The test set covered by this specification shall meet the
following performance requirements and product characteris-
tics.
3.7.1 Insulation resistance. - The insulation resistance
between electrical circuits and between each circuit and the
chassis shall be not less than 500 megohms when tested in
accordance with 4.5.3.
3.7.2 Calibration. - The calibration circuitry shall be
properly connected as verified by testing as specified in
4.5.4.
3.7.3 Continuity circuits. - The continuity circuitry
shall be properly connected as verified by testing as speci-
fied in 4.5.5.
3.7.4 Leakage circuits. - The leakage circuitry shall be
properly connected as verified by testing as specified in
4.5.6.
3.7.5 Leakage value. - The leakage values of the test set
shall be checked by connecting resistors across adapter ter-
minals and testing as specified in 4.5.7.
3.7.6 Omitted leakage circuits. - The test set shall be
tested to determine that no leakage circuits are omitted.
When the circuitry is shorted out and tested as specified in
4.5.8, the test set shall cycle to home position.
3.8 Workmanship and cleanliness. - The test set shall be
free from dust, dirt, metal filings, moisture, solder splashes,
chips, and other foreign matter. Necessary precautions shall
be taken during manufacture and assembly to insure these con-
ditions.
